      Graduate from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion in 1991, Lionel Delaporte is Managing Partner at AEC Partners since he joined the company in 2012. Lionel has over 18 years of managerial experience in strategic and organizational consultancy dedicated to the healthcare industry in three consulting companies: Bionest Partners (2006-2012), Monitor (2004-2006) and ISO Healthcare Consulting (1999-2004). Before entering consultancy, he held several operational positions at IMS Health, including Senior Global Account Director and Director of International and Strategic Market Studies. Lionel has managed more than 200 consulting assignments on primary and specialty care products, biotechnology products, OTC brands as well as e-health solutions. He brings added value consultancy expertise, developed around strategic and operational business issues, new product/integrated solutions launches, business model optimization, change management and corporate development strategies.       Graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers, postgraduate diploma in bioengineering, MA in Economics from the IFP. Jordi Esclusa is a Managing Partner at AEC Partners since 1998. Jordi has been working in the healthcare sector for more than 18 years. He works on a regular basis at Corporate, Region and country levels, in Europe, America and Asia. He is focused on strategic and change management issues and in the past years has been focused on new product launches and market access issues. Jordi is Spaniard and works in English, Spanish, French, Catalan, Portuguese and Italian. He started his career as a controller for a joint venture in India between Nippon Kokan and Spie Batignolles. Following this experience, he joined Bossard Consultants, a major consultancy firm where he spent 7 years. Before founding AEC Partners he was a contributing member of Isogroup.

    • Christine Garnier

      Managing Partner

      Christine Garnier is co-founder of the firm AEC Partners and is Managing Partner since 1998. She graduated from ESCP Europe in 1984. Her consultant activity is specialized in corporate, international and operational strategies, evolutions in business models and organizations, and the optimization of performance across the life science industry. During the last twenty years, Christine Garnier has managed more than 200 assignments on primary and specialty care products, vaccine products, as well as medical device and OTC. She accompanies executive committees and operational and functional management in the development of vision, their strategies and the evolution of their organizations. The perimeters of her interventions concentrate on Europe and fast developing countries (South East Asia, Latin America..) as well as international and corporate headquarters. She provides her clients with a strong expertise in strategy and organization coupled by her skill to identify and initiate necessary transformations. Before joining AEC Partners, Christine Garnier previously worked for 12 years in the pharmaceutical industry holding marketing positions in Wyeth and international marketing and strategic planning at Rhone Poulenc Rorer.

    • Jean-François Lopez

      Managing Partner

      Graduate from Paris 1 Sorbonne in Macroeconomics and Public Policy Analysis,  and holding a master in Health Economics and Health Systems Management, Jean-François Lopez joined AEC Partners in 2014. He has over 17 years experience consulting in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, particularly focused on the development of market access strategies for products in early stage of development and ready for marketing-authorization applications. Jean-François has participated and led more than 300 market access projects in various therapeutic areas: oncology, hematology, dermatology, neurology, rheumatology, vaccines, orphan diseases... His regular interactions and negotiations with French health authorities are a key asset that help him achieve client objectives and optimize the rebates and conditions linked to the requested level of price. JF's interventions are focused on France and Europe where he has built a network of experts sharing the same skills and that work together on bottom-up approaches to generate operational and pragmatic market access strategies.

    • Stéphane Olmi

      Stéphane Olmi is the head of the Investment Banking team. Before joining AEC Partners in 2012, Stéphane was Executive Director (“Gérant”) at Lazard Frères where he was responsible for the middle market in Paris & Lyon. Stéphane has advised on more than 100 Midcap M&A transactions, including many cross-border strategic deals, across a wide spectrum of industries. With a relationship-based business approach, he has particularly focused on the Healthcare/ Medtech sector and on Financial Institutions (FIG) transactions. In particular, Stéphane has advised on seven of the Life Insurance deals closed in France over the last six years, which makes him the leading FIG M&A advisor in France. He has built an extensive network of relationships across leading and middle market corporations, banks, Insurance companies, mutual institutions and private equity firms through his work on Mergers & Acquisitions. Stéphane currently serves on the board of the Paris Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and is the Past-Chairman of Lyon’s chapter of HEC alumni. Stéphane started his career alongside Bernard Arnault, organizing many disposals from the Christian Dior/ Boussac Saint Frères textile group which eventually became the LVMH luxury group. After his time at LVMH, Stéphane Olmi became Vice-president, Finance & Operations, at a New York based firm. Stephane Olmi holds an MSc from Arts & Métiers Paris Tech and an MBA from HEC-Paris.

    • Nerea Alonso

      Graduated in Business Administration in Barcelona (Spain), she has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Nerea has broad and transversal experience in national and international projects for the biopharmaceutical and medical devices industries covering most business and therapeutic areas. She started her career in the health sector with AEC Partners in 1999 and has recently joined back to develop the Spanish Market. Between both periods, she gathered extensive experience with IMS Health in European pricing, reimbursement and market access projects, and worked intensively in the innovative companies and research institutes’ challenges with the Catalan biocluster, Biocat. Nerea is Spanish and works in English, French, Spanish and Catalan.

    • Adrien Choquet

      Associate Director

      Holding a Master’s degree in Finance from ESCP Europe, Adrien has continuously focused on the FIG sector. He has acted as a financial advisor on numerous M&A transactions for many clients in the banking, insurance and asset management sectors. He also spent a part of his career working as an internal auditor (“inspecteur”) within the second largest French bank which gave him a deep knowledge of banks and insurance strategic and organisational topics. His continuing involvement with some of the largest financial institutions has offered him the opportunity to closely observe the emergence of Fintech. After an initial experience at Lazard Frères where he met and worked with Stéphane Olmi, Adrien continued his career at Nomura (ex-Lehman Brothers) in London within the M&A FIG team. On his return to Paris, he joined the BPCE internal audit team (“Inspection Générale”) where he covered investment banking and retail banking. Prior to joining AEC Partners, Adrien was Associate at HSBC where he covered the French and Benelux FIG M&A sector and developed a strong interest in the Fintech start-ups.

      Pharmacy/MBA (London Business School), Philippe Coriat joined AEC Partners in 2008 to lead the Healthcare Technological Innovation (HTI) practice which focuses on pre-commercial product strategies and their Value Propositions. He also supports business development and Biotech / Medtech -Pharma partnership deals. Philippe has integrated Connected Health to the HTI practice with a number of assignments in the field of remote monitoring for chronic and post-acute care. Previously a Partner at a leading Canadian VC Life Sciences fund (T2C2 Capital), he structured international financings of therapeutic and medical device companies and assisted start-ups at both corporate & business development levels. Philippe made the jump to executive-in-residence at iNovia Capital where he was founder & CEO of Mimetogen Pharmaceuticals, a McGill University spin-off acquired by with Allergan in 2015. Philippe is Canadian and fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Hebrew. Philippe now co-manages AEC Partners’ Boston office.

      Rodolphe Gobe graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management in 1989. He was one of the founders of AEC Partners in 1995 and has been active in its development as a Partner since 1998. Rodolphe supports his consulting activities with his business and hands-on former experience in corporate finance and the drug industry. Since 1995, Rodolphe has been leading strategic, organizational and business development consulting assignments for many healthcare clients from startups to Big Pharma, from biological to OTC drugs, vaccines, diagnostics and other medical devices. He also worked for drug supply chain players, healthcare service providers, healthcare professional organizations, and investment funds interested in healthcare and life sciences. He has extensive experience with both French-based and international firms.

      Graduate from ESSEC Business School BBA Program in 1998, François has been a Partner at AEC Partners since 2000. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the development of the firm’s activities within the Asia Pacific region. His main areas of expertise cover Corporate/Development Strategies, Portfolio/Product Strategies, Organization and Change management as well as Operational Strategy/ Effectiveness especially Market Access, Public Affairs, Medical, Marketing and Sales efficiency. François has worked in Strategy Consulting for the past 20 years, including 15 years in the Healthcare area on various market segments such as Open care, Hospital, OTX, OTC or mass market and in many therapeutic areas. His analytical skills coupled with strategic visioning and business planning make him a solid advisor and enable his clients to rely on strategic recommendations able to deliver clear vision to their associates. François benefits from a strong international profile with interventions at corporate, region and country levels. He has developed a strong market and field knowledge of fast developing countries especially in Asia Pacific and in Latin America by building business plans and/or product launch plans in more than 30 countries and within subsidiaries of different Healthcare groups. Before joining AEC Partners, he started his career in Key Account Management at Siemens then joined the Strategic Consulting Firm Arthur D.       Graduate of University College Cork and the Smurfit School of Business, Dublin, Ireland with an MBS in International Business, Tina has been with AEC Partners since 2003. She has worked extensively at the international level and has developed a thorough understanding of the health care systems and challenges in Europe (in particular EU5) as well as Latin America, Asia and Africa/Middle East. Tina has worked on a diverse range of subjects but her areas of expertise are linked to strategy definition and implementation, as well as product launch preparation and organization effectiveness. Before joining AEC Partners, Tina worked as a consultant with Andersen Business Consulting, Dublin, Ireland for three years. Earlier in her career, she spent two years working at Yanacocha Gold Mine in Peru as ‘Director of English Studies’”, and a year teaching English at the University of Burgos in Spain.       Graduate from ICN Business School in Nancy. Emmanuelle Henry joined AEC in 2012. She specializes in strategy, organization improvements and value creation processes. Throughout her 20-year career, Emmanuelle was involved in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), consulted in organization improvements and strategy, and developed in-depth knowledge of the Healthcare sector in Europe. She started her career spending five years in M&A in London, Copenhagen and Barcelona. She was in particular involved in closed IPOs, Private Placements and M&A of both listed and non-listed companies. She has been a consultant for eleven years, first with Cap Gemini, focused on organization improvements in the Healthcare sector, then with AEC. She strives to deliver measurable and sustainable results, making lasting changes to the organizations. Emmanuelle was also CFO and HR Manager at Rottapharm France, where she stayed four years and successfully turned around the company to be profitable, through operational excellence efforts. A French native, Emmanuelle has a broad international experience and is fluent in English, Spanish and Danish.

      Graduate from EM Lyon, Sandrine Jaremko has been partner at AEC Partners since 1998 . She was also the Scientific Director of a professional training program on “Marketing in the Healthcare sector” at ESCP Europe during 5 years (2009 to 2013). Sandrine has developed methodologies and tools adapted to the context of more than 200 missions she has managed in various healthcare companies. Sandrine has managed projects in multi functional & multi cultural environments, developing new working practices, tools and training modules. She is responsible for the partnership between AEC Partners and Orange Consulting which defines digital solutions to address strategic and organizational challenges for our clients. From 1991 to 1997, before joining AEC Partners Sandrine Jaremko was consultant then manager at Bossard Consultants group, consulting company in strategy and organization (today known as Gemini Consulting) where she worked on projects for different industries such as Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Telecommunications, Automotive industry and Healthcare. Before founding AEC Partners she was a contributing member of Isogroup. Sandrine is French and works in English and French.

      M.D., Ph.D, Thomas joined AEC Partners in 2015 after six years at the Boston Consulting Group (Consultant to Principal). Between 2006-09, Thomas practiced as a cardiac surgeon in the Bichat academic hospital, Paris. This followed his medical training and specialization in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in France and the US. During his time at the International Heart Institute of Montana Foundation, USA, he developed an original animal model to study the ischemic heart failure and obtained a PhD from the University of Montana. At BCG he specialized in the Healthcare sector (private and public providers, pharmaceuticals, Medtech and medical associations – pro bono), working on more than 35 projects around strategy definition, due diligence, operation excellence, turn around and Post Merger Integration (PMI). He also worked extensively at the international level in the US, Europe, North Africa and Middle East.

      Veterinary surgeon, graduated from Maisons- Alfort (Paris, 1996) and holding an MBA from HEC Paris (2001), Nicolas is working the Healthcare sector for more than 15 years, on both the consulting and industry sides. As such, he developed a set of complementary skills (scientific / business consulting / field operations) particularly adapted to developing pragmatic and tailored recommendations and lead consulting engagements for Executive Committee to operational Divisions. Nicolas has extensive experience in pharmaceutical, animal health, medical devices and vaccines industries. He held various operational positions at St Jude Medical France: Key Account Director, Marketing & Education Director and member of Management committee. Before joining AEC Partners, Monique Verrier worked at Novartis France as a Product Manager and at Corporate Value Associates (CVA) as a consultant in Boston and Paris. Previous to that she was a Research Project Coordinator at Harvard Medical School. Of American and French nationalities, Monique leverages her fluency in English, French, Italian and Spanish as well as her openness to diversity to support international teams at all levels (Corporate, Regional, Country).       Donier

      Engineer, graduate of Ecole des Mines de St Etienne (France), joined AEC Partners experts network in 2015. He started his career in 1988 as Cultural and Technical Cooperation Assistant Adviser in the General French Consulate in São Paulo. Then he joined Exxonmobil Chemicals in 1990, as a Process Engineer on the petrochemical platform of Notre Dame de Gravenchon in Normandy. In 1993, he became Senior Consultant at Paris Headquarters of Eurogroup management consultancy, then he is transferred to Brazil in 1995 as Manager and then Director to develop the local operations. In 2004, he launched his own management consultancy Crescendo Consulting based in São Paulo with the aim of offering the market an innovative combined hard & soft skills approach to address complex transformation projects. Along the last 20 years, Frederic has assisted, as a consultant and as a coach, numerous firms in the evolution of their strategy, culture and operating modes in order to adapt themselves to new environments: globalization, disruptive competition, restructurings, mergers, etc. He facilitated a great number of strategic and tactical thinking processes in conjunction with executives from top senior management to operational levels. Frederic has acquired a deep knowledge and experience of the Brazilian culture since his first contact with this country in 1976. He has also acquired experience in other Latin-American and emerging countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Turkey. Fred is based in São Paulo and speaks Portuguese, French, English and Spanish.

      Nabil

      Graduate from Ecole Centrale de Paris, Nabil Gharios works on specific projects as an external expert with AEC Partners, when there is no conflict of interest. Between 1999 and 2001, Nabil worked in New York at SG Cowen as a financial analyst specialized in mergers and acquisitions for the healthcare industry. He then joined Bioam, a Paris-based venture capital fund focused on botechnology. In 2005, Nabil joined Abbott Laboratories, where he held various positions, including special project manager for the European Vice President, co-founder and manager of the European Business Development group and international brand manager for anesthesia. In 2011, Nabil launched Biotech Promise, a specialized investment fund dedicated to equity investments in listed biotech small and mid cap companies. He is also responsible of the Healthcare Group at the French Society of Financial Analysts.

      Jean-Marc

      Herbert

      Graduate in engineering and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Clermont-Ferrand, France. He did his PhD in cellular biology and biochemistry at the Clinical Research Center, London, UK. Jean-Marc Herbert now has more than 30 years of industrial experience in pharmaceutical research and development. During 10 years, he worked as International Director of the Cardiovascular/thrombosis Research Department for Sanofi and Sanofi-Synthélabo Recherche. During this early phase of his career, he played significant roles in the discovery and development of Plavix(R) and Arixtra(R). In 2007-09, he was Senior VP, in charge of Discovery at Sanofi-Aventis Research. In 2009-15, he was leading a multinational group at Sanofi, based in Europe, US and China called "Early to Candidate" at the interface between academia and Pharma R&D. Jean-Marc Herbert is a member of several scientific international societies and of the editorial and review boards of several pier-reviewed top scientific journals. He has authored more than 400 papers and is listed as an inventor in more than 50 patents in various fields, including thrombosis, vascular biology, inflammation, cardiology and cancer.

      Emmanuelle

      Jéhanno

      Graduate from ESSEC in 1997 and from Sciences Po Paris Advanced Master’s Degree in organizational sociology, Emmanuelle Jehanno is a specialist in organizational development and change management consulting. She started her career in 1997 as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining Roland Berger in 2001 where she participated to large transformation projects from strategy definition to change implementation, both for large international companies and for the French State. In 2007, she founded Oxymore, lately renamed Chrysalis, a consulting firm specialized in consulting and coaching-on-the-job to enhance team performance and develop new organizational capabilities. Emmanuelle Jéhanno has experience in various sectors such as Transportation, Utilities, Media and Printing and in the public sector. She provides her clients with a strong expertise in organizational design, organization development and HR strategy to align the organization (governance, operational structure ) with the strategy defined. She also advises many boards on innovative change management approaches. Emmanuelle Jéhanno is a certified executive coach.

He worked 10 years in the public service as advisor to the French health minister in charge of health industries and as advisor to the prime Minister on social budgets. In 2007, Jacques joined Pfizer as head of the public affairs bureau in Brussels and later as vice president public affairs, market access and communication for Pfizer France. Since 2010, Jacques intervenes as market access and public affairs consultant on diverse health issues. Jacques shares his time between Paris and Mexico. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

      Graduating as a bio-engineer from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires (ENSAIA) and followed with an executive MBA from HEC Paris, Jean-Luc has worked in Clinical Research for more than 15 years. He has held roles such as Worldwide Managing Director of SGS Clinical Research, European Director of MDS Pharma Services and Strategy Consultant at Arthur D. Little. During these experiences he has led international teams of up to 500 people. Earlier in this career, Jean-Luc worked for 13 years with Essilor as a General Manager and a Marketing Director in several European countries. Jean-Luc has established a solid international network within the pharmaceutical sector and with CRO companies, which he has leveraged to support private equity funds as a Senior Advisor. Jean-Luc has worked and lived abroad extensively and he works in French and English.
